Backup XGD3 Games
With the release of recent dashboard updates, security on the 360 has changed. This means that new firmware is required, and you will probably have to re-write your recent backup games after patching with the new version of AGBX360.
To backup XGD3 games, follow these steps:
1. Use Xbox Backup Creator to save an image of your game to your harddrive. Download latest version here: http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/xbox360pc/dvd/Xbox_Backup_Creator-v2.9.0.350.zip (you will also need the dae.bin file in the XBC directory, available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?v8pe9745m09rtba) - Note: Currently the only drives that support ripping of XGD3 games is the Liteon or BenQ (from an Xbox360 console) with the 0800 firmware installed connected to your PC. Kreon drives can no longer be used. This may change in the future, but probably not. Kreon drives can be used now with the latest version of ABGX360 to patch the image after ripping.
2. You will need the latest version of AGBX360: http://abgx360.net/download.php - use this to patch the ISO with the topology data released by c4eva.
3. The new games are 8.7gb, not 8.5 as before. This means that the full image won't fit onto a DVD+R DL disc. You need a dvd burner that is compatible with the new iXtreme Burner Max firmware. These drives are:
Liteon iHAS124B = baseline model
Liteon iHAS224B = 124 + LightScribe
Liteon iHAS324B = 124 + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS424B = 124 + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 224 + SmartErase)
Liteon iHAS524B = 124 + LabelTag + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS624B = 124 + LabelTag + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 524 + LightScribe)
Once you have one of the above drives with Burner Max firmware on it, you will be able to write XGD3 games to disc, and not get write errors.
4. Write the image to disc using ImgBurn. If you have any problems, try writing at a slower speed.
5. If this all sounds like too much of a hassle, you should get the RGH mod instead (http://news.mod-store.com.au/reset-glitch-hack-rgh-mod-xbox-360), as it makes things much easier. (Your console must be compatible though).
